HAY there friends! It's me, Cataleya Hamilton, and I just had the most amazing time at the Hay Festival! It was like stepping into a world full of magic and stories, and I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Guess what? 📚 I got to meet some really cool authors like Dermot O'Leary, Adam Kay and his illustrator, Henry Paker! They told us all about their stories, and it made me want to write my own even more. It was so exciting to hear from them!

The best part was meeting Jacqueline Wilson, Kadii's absolute favourite author ever! She called Kadii her "sister writer," and it made us all feel super special. 💖 She was on the stage telling everybody about her struggles in becoming the amazing author she is today and even told porkies about being Enid Blyton to get into an author party! I felt like we were walking in her footsteps and it didn't feel like we were alone in the struggles we were facing along our journey!

A Shoutout from Apache Indian 🎤

And here's something super cool - Apache Indian mentioned us on stage! He told everyone about Kadii's book on the BBC! It was amazing to hear him talk about us, and it made me feel like a superstar! He sang next and even though I wanted to dance, I felt really shy!

I also got to chat with Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock about our book about her journey and her highs and lows growing up with dyslexia but still achieving so much as a SPACE SCIENTIST!🌟 She was there with her daughter Lori and they both signed my picture! They were both so nice and excited about what we're doing. It made me feel really happy and ready to come up with even more fun ideas.

The whole day was full of fun and excitement. I left with so many new ideas and couldn't wait to start writing and dreaming up new adventures. I love how stories can take you anywhere!
