Hey future leaders and fellow young entrepreneurs! It's Kadii Hamilton here, excited to share our recent adventure at the Co-op Annual General Meeting on 11th May 2024. This day was filled with inspiration, learning, and exciting possibilities.

Us with Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and showing her how much her journey had inspired us when we learned of her at school, that it inspired a wheelchair-user character in our book - she was over the moon about it!

We had the honour of meeting Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, a true icon whose achievements have inspired us greatly. It was a privilege to show her the inclusion of our wheelchair user character in our book, inspired by her incredible journey that we learned at school! Her positive feedback was incredibly encouraging and made the day extra special.

The excitement didn't stop there! We also had the opportunity to speak with the CEO of Co-op. We discussed the exciting potential of getting our books into Co-op stores and organising a local book signing event. This conversation highlighted the importance of networking and seizing opportunities to expand our reach.

We were amazed to learn about the diverse initiatives Co-op is involved in, from energy and phones to their incredible work with non-profit organisations. It was inspiring to see how a company can make such a positive impact in various areas.

Our curiosity led us to ask about potential collaboration with Co-op, particularly through the social enterprise we founded. This enterprise was born from our own experiences as children striving to self-fund our projects and dreams. We are eager to explore how we can work together to support young entrepreneurs like ourselves.

Our visit to the AGM was not just about business; it was about celebrating inclusion and diversity. By highlighting diverse characters in our books, we aim to promote understanding and empathy among young readers. Meeting Baroness Grey-Thompson reinforced our commitment to this mission.

This experience has inspired us to continue our journey in entrepreneurship and storytelling. We're excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and can't wait to share more updates with you. Stay tuned for more exciting news and adventures!

Thank you for being part of our journey, and we look forward to seeing where this path takes us next!
