Kadii's love for Techniquest in Cardiff was the spark that started it all. After visiting the science centre and being completely captivated by the interactive exhibits, she knew she wanted to write a story that would inspire other children to explore science and creativity.

The Techni-Bus itself was inspired by a real bus that Kadii saw during one of her visits. She imagined what it would be like if a bus could take you on a magical journey through science and discovery — and that imagination became the heart of the book.

Did you know that some of the characters in the book are based on real people? Kadii drew inspiration from her family, friends and the amazing staff at Techniquest who made every visit special.
